Today we are introducing you to Lindsay Mowad as our Bethielife Woman Crush. She is our youngest crush so far and has plenty of tips on youthful skincare, where to go in Houston and which websites to look into. Her greatest talent, however, is helping manage the Bethielife website and always making Bethie laugh! Welcome Lindsay!

Care to share? You're over....

I am 28!

Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Little Rock, AR. And for the record….yes I wear shoes…and no I’m not married to my cousin. You would be surprised how many people ask me that when I tell them where I’m from.

Occupation?

Currently I work for a MARION Integrated Marketing, which is a full service marketing and advertising firm. One of my responsibilities is to manage and co-create alongside Beth, Bethielife.com. I like to say I’m Beth’s bitch haha. But before I was “Beth’s Bitch,” I was a weekday morning & noon television anchor in Greenville, NC for several years and then before that in Tyler, TX.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three beauty products would you like to have with you?

I know this isn’t a product, but definitely a sun hat. Also Aquaphor and sunscreen…duh!

Who or what has been the biggest influence on your personal style?

My mother…hands down! She is a native New Yorker, but was definitely born to live in the south. She always told us that you shouldn’t leave the house without lipstick on. Have I always followed this rule? Absolutely not, but I’ve tried. My mother is always put together…she’s always had it going on!

What is your favorite indulgence?

Chocolate!

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

I know its sounds silly, but my dad always told me to just take a deep breath. I am the kind of person that gets worked up over the silliest things, so that advice for someone like me is important to remember.

What’s on your plate? (Future projects, travel plans, etc.)

Furnishing my new house in the Memorial Area. I also am going to France in July! It will be my first time and I am so excited!

How do you spend your down time?

Houston is still somewhat new to me, so I love to still go out and explore. That’s what I love about Houston, there is always something going on.

Tell us one Houston Hidden Gem (places that aren’t necessarily well-known) that you recommend.

Anthropologie in Highland Village. Not really a hidden gem, but still love it! Abdallah’s has the best Lebanese food in town and El Patio for your Mexican fix!

Tell us three of your health/beauty tips.

Gilt.com, Piperlime.com and Jossandmain.com for everything home!

What are three things you can’t live without? (Besides God, family, and friends.)

My tennis shoes. I am a workout maniac. Also magazines and a good cocktail!

If you weren’t in your present occupation, what would you dream of doing?

I’m content where I am right now. As far as the future…who knows…so stay tuned!

What books or movies have you loved recently?

I don’t read hahaha. Probably should, but I don’t. Just being honest!

Tell us something humorous about yourself?

I am a total clutz! If there is a way to fall or somehow make a scene, I always find a way. I should probably wear a helmet daily.
