Virtuosi of Houston held it’s annual gala with a new twist this year! Honoring Houston’s Leaders of Dance, the 2019 gala was titled “Music in Motion”. Honorees were Stanton Welch (Houston Ballet), Jane Weiner (Hope Stone Dance) and Michelle Smith (METdance). Guests were treated throughout the night with a blending of music and dance with performances by Houston Ballet, METdance, Hope Stone Dance, Houston BoyChoir and, of course, the amazing Virtuosi of Houston Orchestra. Gala Chairman Patti Murphy came up with this fantastic idea of blending her two favorite arts together for one spectacular evening. Honorary Chairmen were Monzer Hourani and Carmina Zamorano. Founding and Artistic Directors are well known directors/musicians Franz Krager and Andzrej Grabec.

This was a dream come true party for a dance and music lover like me and many others. Bravo!
