Every woman loves a halter dress. This multi-colored batik dress, by Onyii & Co. has a halter bodice with a long back tie. I love the full skirt, the fabric and the rich colors. For this shoot, we thought this dress warranted an artful backdrop to compliment it’s rich colors, so we headed over to Smither Park.
Since her launch of Onyii & Co. in 2013, Nigerian-native, Onyii Brown has incorporated Africa-inspired printed, figure-flattering wrap dresses and skirts into each of her collections because she believes that although a woman’s body may change, her desire to feel feminine and beautiful never wanes. Her brand offers an assortment of pieces from high waist pants, crop tops, wrap dresses and reversible suit jackets: the combinations are endless. Onyii & Co. offers quality, comfort, rich colors and global-inspired styles.
Smither Park is an outrageous, fanciful, functional play land that features a multitude of different, exciting and interactive features. Our commitment to sustainability and recycling inspires the decorative elements by exploring the reuse and repurposing of materials like broken ceramic, bottle caps, tiles, and sea shells. Β The Lindley Fish is a covered stage that anchors one end of the park. Designed and constructed by artist Matt Gifford, it’s interior is decorated to resemble the inside of a fish’s mouth with street signs, mirror shards and frame samples in a wide range of designs and textures. The outside looks like a giant bold and colorful anglerfish. The Lindley Fish is a space used for dance, film, theater and musical performances throughout the year.
