Saks Fifth Avenue and Heart of Fashion, founded by Vivian Wise, recently welcomed the lovely Victoria Christian, Brand Ambassador and daughter of Clive Christian, for a meet and greet previewing their new fragrances ~ “X” with a twist of Saffron for the men and “X” with a twist of Narcissus for the ladies.  Victoria arrived from London that afternoon and showed up at Saks looking fresh-faced and perfectly coiffed in a Vivienne Westwood dress. She immediately won over the crowd with her darling British accent, warm smile and accessible persona. Many people were there to meet Victoria and excited to purchase the new perfumes. Victoria warmly sat with each purchaser and individually signed each of their bottles.

Designer Jonathan Blake, a personal friend of Victoria’s, was telling me how he first purchased the fragrance when he was 16. He was drawn to the No.1 fragrance due to its alluring aroma and non-allergenic qualities containing only pure essential oils. Clive Christian and Victoria are the official royal perfumery for Queen Elizabeth and Prince William and Kate. Elton John commissioned them for his wedding, creating perfume in the shape of a piano.

Clive Christian became the custodian of a British perfumery first established in 1872, the only house ever to have been granted the image of Queen Victoria’s crown, and set about restoring true luxury to the world of perfumery by reviving the original values and heritage of the perfumery with no reference to cost under his principle to “Design first – to be the best that it can be – then cost it”.
Clive Christian’s vision of luxury perfume culminated in the 1999 release of the Original Collection of six pure perfumes in three matched ‘his and hers’ pairs using the most rare and precious natural ingredients from around the world.

Clive Christian is a British designer best known for his creation of Clive Christian No. 1. No. 1 perfumes were created to be the absolute best in class and have been recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as the World’s Most Expensive Perfume. “X” perfumes are unconventional and exotic and harness the most powerful aphrodisiacs known to mankind.

I am also very excited to say that my dear friend Vivian Wise has announced that I have been appointed the Head of Development for Texas Legacy Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created by Vivian in 2015 to channel a portion of the proceeds from the for-profit Heart of Fashion ticket sales to specific charities. At the debut of Heart of Fashion in 2015, the Texas Legacy Foundation raised $153,000, and donated $33,000 to three charities. In addition to raising funds for various charities, each year the Foundation will recognize an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the world of art, fashion, photography or design with the “Texas Legacy Award”. In 2015, designer Ralph Rucci presented the first ever award to model and legendary fashion icon, Carmen Dell’ Orefice. At this upcoming Heart of Fashion event,  to be held November 16-18 at Million Air, the 2016 recipient will be announced.

I am so excited to be working with the Texas Legacy Foundation and will bring my over 20-year past experience in the philanthropic arena to help this foundation continue to make a meaningful impact through its charitable contributions.
