Location: RDG Bar Annie

Lindley and Jason Arnoldy with Erin and James Stewart did a fantastic job as chairmen of Raising the Barre – a dinner in four acts hosted by RDG. Chefs Robert Del Grande, Rebecca Masson, Chris Shepherd, Seth Siegel-Gardner, and Terrence Gallivan joined forces with Houston ballet dancers Sara Webb, Emily Bowen, Elise Elliott, and Rhodes Elliott to create a very personal four course event. The crowd of over 150 young supporters of Houston Ballet were wowed by the dishes which included everything from thai meatballs to sunday pot roast to even some pb&j bake well tarte.

This was Raising the Barres 6th year of this popular event. This group has been a great vehicle for the under 40 crowd to support Houston Ballet.  Kudos to the Ballet Barre Steering Committee, co-chaired by Mary Patton and Hannah Lonergan, for their hard work acquiring auction items. The most unique item was the one-of-a-kind pointe shoe mirror featuring autographed new and used pointe shoes that were worn by some of our favorite Houston ballet dancers. This mirror was made by HB’s own Shannon Stricker.  A very special thank you to presenting sponsor BB&T, valet sponsor Momentum Porsche, and Houston Ballet’s preferred jewelry partner, Tenenbaum Classic Jewelers. In total, they raised $65,000 for Houston Ballet!
