Mio Boutique, one of the chicest fashion stores in River Oaks, held its grand re-opening party this week to celebrate its new ownership. Previous owner, Claudia Ayala, decided to sell in order to devote more time to her family and 3 young children. Mercedes Behar, who previously sold jewelry, was happy to take the reins as Mio’s new owner.
Under the creative direction of new proprietor Mercedes T. Behar, Mio Boutique will be offering a whole new experience in personal shopping. Mercedes invited members of the press and a selected group of Houstonians to a lovely party complete with cocktails, light bites (provided by Merche!), music (provided by Socialite’) and lots of fashions. I had a great time trying on their adorable dresses, cute leggings and shirts, beautiful jackets and so much more. This store has a little bit of everything.
Mio Boutique carries unique and stylish clothes and accessories from casual to cocktail-ready attire. This boutique has both national and international clothing designers in the store, including LOVERICHE from California, SHILLA from Australia and the prestigious Persian brand ATOOS as well as several collections of hand-made jewelry, including Mercedes’ own brand Cris+merce.
With her strong fashion sense and attention to detail, Mercedes takes the shopping experience to the next level, by personally handpicking outfits tailored to the taste, budget and lifestyle of Mio Boutique’s clients.
Several of the ladies at this event are staunch supporters of the Latin Women’s Initiative and spend a lot of time giving back to the Houston community.
