Location: Houston Zoo

The summer is a great time to go to the zoo and the Houston Zoo is the best! Former Miss Houston Teen Mary Frances Nance was the ringmaster as she watched the elephants, giraffes and zebras. She even met up with a dinosaur!

In a couple weeks Mary Frances will be moving to Texas A&M  and going through sorority rush. She plans to study communications while writing for blogs and modeling for Aggieland Outfitters. This busy beauty queen is also preparing for the upcoming  Miss Texas USA Pageant! The pageant will take place over Labor Day weekend.  Mary Frances says “I know I am one of the younger contestants but I am not letting that hold me back!” We are all so excited for her!

The Houston Zoo is a 55-acre zoological park located within Hermann Park. The Zoo houses over 6,000 animals as a part of over 900 species that the zoo has to offer. It receives 2.55 million visitors each year and is the second most visited zoo in the United States.
