Location: Buffalo Bayou Park

Buffalo Bayou Park, located near downtown, has been undergoing an ambitiou$ revitalization, transforming 160 acres of green space along Buffalo Bayou between Shepherd Dr. and Sabine St. The finished product will include running, hiking and biking trails, paddle craft and bike rentals, boat tours, huge dog park, nature play areas, public art displays and performance venues. Also nearby is the popular skate park.  The grand opening of the finished park is being held on October 3rd. Check Buffalo Bayou Park/Opening for details. I’m so lucky to live across the street from this exciting addition to Houston!

Amanda and I had so much fun doing this shoot in our vintage swimwear donated to us by my dear friend, Jane Weiner, owner of Hope Stone, Inc. We had lots of honking horns wondering what we were up to!  Along the way, we stopped at the Buffalo Bayou Park “Yarn Bomb”, a yarn mural along the fence done by Urban Yarnage. The wanted to show their dedication after the massive Memorial Day flood.
