The Houston Tri-Delta alumnae are presenting The Sale to be held January 10-11, 2015 at the Bayou City Events Center. This philanthropic event will benefit the UT/ MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital.  For 2 days, the finest area boutiques will come together at one location and offer end-of-season merchandise at dramatic discounts. This concept is similar to Super Saturday in the Hamptons and Santa Monica.  All under one roof will be over 40 boutiques including Tootsies, Events, Cotton Club, Elaine Turner and A’Bientot (just to name a few) selling their fabulous merchandise to support our beneficiary.  This will be a shopping mecca for the sale-hunter!

A kick-off party was recently held at Tootsies to celebrate this upcoming event.  Shelby Robin, a cancer survivor who was treated at MD Anderson, spoke to the crowd.  She told her story of having bone cancer as a child and having a partial leg amputation. MD Anderson saved her life and she went on to become President of the Tri-Delta Chapter at University of Texas.  I also served as President of that same chapter, so I have extra admiration for this amazing girl.

Kickoff Party at Tootsie’s was great! Thanks, Beth, for telling your followers about ‘the Sale’. It will be such a treat for fashionistas, and best of all, it will supply critically needed funds for research at MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital. There’s no way around it…costly research must be done in order to develop safer, more effective life-saving treatments and cures for children with cancer. If that’s not an incentive to participate, then I don’t know what is! Thanks again!
