Location:  Wortham Theater

Wortham Theater Center is home to the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera. Since its opening in 1987, the Wortham has entertained more than 8 million people. On August 27th, 2017 Hurricane Harvey intensely damaged this beautiful facility. After over a year of hard work by so many people, the Wortham is again hosting productions. They are still making improvements, but the show must go on! Look for Houston Ballet’s The Nutcracker to open Friday November 23rd. This is a huge landmark occasion representing Houston’s tireless effort to recover from Hurricane Harvey.
