Ruchi Mukerjee, Houston’s media guru and international journalist, recently launched her Social Butterflies Scarf Collection at an event held at Trina Turk. A dream since 2012 Ruchi wanted to  present both the elegance of a silk sari and fashionable practicality of a French scarf.  As an editor for a lifestyle online and print magazine and Founder/Host of International Mothers Day Soirée she came up with the concept to combine her Indian heritage and French connection with silk. Houston’s social scene is bustling with fashionable and philanthropic ladies and Ruchi feels that her collection is just the perfect blend. 

 Trina Turk also showcased their colorful, wearable and stunning summer collections.  A percentage of the sales benefited Sky High For Kids.

“My love for silk dates to when I, as a child watched my grandmother drape her traditional silk saris. I was in awe of the elegance of the silk, the intricacy of patterns, the beautiful colors and the softness of the material”, says LCA Social Butterflies Creator/Founder Ruchi Mukherjee.
