Location: Preservons la Creation mural on Fannin

“Preservons la Creation”, unveiled in June 2014 by artist Sebastian “Mr. D” Boileau, is the largest mural in Houston. It’s an interpretation of Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam. French-American artist Boileau, inspired by the American graffiti movement, founded Eyeful Art in the late 90’s. Eyeful Art specializes in hand painted murals and graphics.

This piece, (which means “Let’s Preserve the Creation”), is a  5 story, 60-foot high, 8,000 s.f mural that expands a full city block. We are so lucky to live in such a diverse art-filled city as Houston <3.

UP Art Studio is a Houston-based organization that facilitates art projects for urban and contemporary artists and communities, locally and worldwide. UP Art Studio specializes in mural and art commissions, gallery art shows, event planning, and artist collaborations.

Boileau also painted the well-known “biscuit wall” which I will make my way over there very soon!
