Location: Highland Village

Happy 4th of July from Bethie! Thanks to my Dad, this has always been one of my favorite holidays. When I was a child, every year we would spend the entire day at Rockford Country Club. It would start out with me playing in the morning golf tournament, then lots of cotton candy and sno cones while going on the amusement rides. Early afternoon were all kinds of races and games. Then later in the afternoon we would all compete in the swim meet. After dinner everyone sat on the 18th putting green to watch the fireworks, followed by a big dance in the country club ballroom. Many years later I raised my children also taking them to Rockford to enjoy the same festivities I did as a kid, so they also have the same fond memories of this holiday with my Dad. <3
