Why not have fun with couture? These dresses from Sloan/Hall put a whole new spin on the black dress. The structure, texture, fabrics and haute-couture feel of these dresses makes them so chic. The past few seasons a handful of designers have been exploring 19th century design and style including Comme des Garçons and Sacai. These pieces are toned down versions of the “Lolita” style that’s prevalent in Tokyo and is also making its way to other style-centric cities across the globe.  Both pieces have a vintage feel but are definitely part of the present. The ankle boots from Isabel Marant add to the strong vintage redo statement.
