Fashion house Comme des Garçons and it’s designer Rei Kawakubo have long been
known for innovation and collaboration. A Comme des Garçons runway show is
always a guaranteed intellectual design adventure. This season is no exception. Sloan/Hall carries three of the house’s collections. The main line created by Kawakubo herself, the Play collection which is a collaboration with Converse sneakers, and Noir by young Japanese designer Kei Ninomiya. This is the first
season Noir has been available outside of Japan. From Kawakubo’s fabric floral
motif, to Ninomiya’s combination of vegan leather and chiffon, to the smile
inducing heart from Play, all the collections possess beauty, innovation and
wit.
