Location: Hazard Street Bridge

In early 2000’s, the reconstruction of the Southwest Freeway included the construction of several steel arched bridges over US 59 between Loop 610 and Downtown. These bridges allow for traffic and pedestrians. They are modern looking during the day and illuminated at night. This section of the freeway, with its distinctive bridges and aesthetic design features has been called the “Gateway to Houston”.

Sadie and I received a lot of honking horns from below while shooting this segment!
