Revelry on Richmond celebrated its first Anniversary as one of Houston’s hot spots with a carnival-themed party, along with the  unveiling of a mural created by Houston Artist Hanh Tran, joined by David Adickes.

The adult carnival featured fundraising games on the patio including bobbing for beers, Plinko, spinning wheel for prizes and a dunking booth, all to  benefit Houston charity Puppies Behind Bars. Puppies Behind Bars (PBB) trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans and explosive detection canines for law enforcement.

The event kicked off with the unveiling of a mural created by local artist Hanh Tran (Hanh Gallery) as a tribute to Revelry, dubbed as one of Houston’s “Best Bars”.
The artist drew inspiration from the character of Houston in bold color and depicted landmarks to include the Bayou and famed Houston artist David Adickes larger than life sculpture, “I Love Houston”. Also featured are Revelry’s favorite Houston Brewery’s, Gun’s & Oil, Texas Beer Refinery, 8th Wonder Brewery, B52, Saint Arnold Brewing Company and Karbach Brewing Company.

Hanh said, “I wanted to capture everything local in Houston that represents the community and their support for each other. I love David’s work and wanted to pay tribute to him and to create a work that reflects the character of the bar with its warm welcome and vibrancy.”

David Adickes  joined Hanh, and Revelry owner Ted Baker, in the unveiling. They then signed the mural to a loud applause from everyone.
Hanh, usually found in her gallery creating oil on canvas pieces for the home and private and public sector, was recently awarded a ‘Freedom Award,’ by Helping A Hero,’ and continues to support the community through therapy art classes for patients as well as group painting parties for kids and adults. Artist David Adickes is known for his heroic scale sculptures of historic figures including the Presidents heads, the Beatles sculptures, Charlie Chaplain, the Virtuoso in front of Lyric Center and the 76-foot tall statue of Sam Houston in Huntsville. He was such a nice man and it was an honor to meet him.

Revelry on Richmond is Houston’s stylish upscale sports and craft beer bar. Known best for their forty rotating local and select craft brews on tap, Revelry On Richmond showcases a full cocktail and wine menu perfect for anyone to refuel and watch the game. Weekly live music performances, two outdoor patios, everything sports, a crazy-good menu and killer drink specials are all the reasons why you’ll be coming back for more.
