Location: Four Seasons Hotel

Houston Ballet hosted it’s second annual Kingdom of Sweets Tea Party at the Four Seasons Hotel. This adorable children’s holiday party included lots of Christmas decorations, cookie decorating, coloring, face painting, yummy brunch food and sweet tweets. This adorable event, chaired by Mary, Ben and Violet Patton, also honored former Houston Ballet superstar Lauren Anderson. The iconic Lauren was honored for being the first African-American dancer promoted to Principal by an American ballet company and also for her outstanding work with students in the community as party of Houston Ballet’s Education and Community Engagement department. Lauren even has a pair of her pointe shoes on display as part of the new Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, or NMAAHC. Beautiful principal dancer, and Sugar Plum Fairy, Sara Webb, was there for pictures, along with dancer Riley McMurray. Rat King Jacob Beasley was on hand for photos with the children in front of a beautiful Christmas tree, and Snowflake Janna Turner was reading stories. What a great party for the kids to put them in the holiday spirit. Bravo Houston Ballet!

P.S. Do not miss Houston Ballet’s new amazing production of the Nutcracker, which runs through Dec. 27th.
